WE DREAM

We Dreamed . . .
In 1987 Jim Weber dreamed of becoming a Christian recording artist, but God had a bigger dream. Melony Pugh-Weber dreamed of a career in communications and business, but God had a different dream. Both of us dreamed that God would use our abilities to help others and further His Kingdom, and God shared that dream. Touchstone Youth Resource Services, Inc. was born when our dreams intersected with God's. In the sixteen years since then, our individual dreams have changed and grown. But God has continued to nurture the original Touchstone dream.

Now Touchstone is responsible for providing Christian music and worship leading for thousands of people each year. Teaching and youth speaking have become one of our most important services. We have offered Christian counseling and small groups to hundreds of teens and adults, joining our dreams with those of Staci Brezinka, a local Christian counselor. We have facilitated short-term missions experiences every year for thirteen years in several foreign countries and America. And we have brought the Gospel to students through inner-city ministry at Bailey Middle School and Stratford High School in Nashville for three years.

Did we dream this in 1987? No. Our mission at Touchstone has grown in ways we could not have imagined. But it is still the same mission: to help others and further God's Kingdom.

We Still Dream . . .

We had no idea what God would do with our little dream. Now that he has done so much, we have a better idea of what he can do with Touchstone. So our dreams have grown. These days, we dream of...

Dream With Us. . .

In Ephesians 3:21 the Apostle Paul praises God because He "…is able to do abundantly more than we could ask or imagine…" God has done that with Touchstone for sixteen years. We believe he will continue.

Our dreams are brought to life by people. They pray, provide encouragement, volunteer their time, and contribute financially. As they labor with us and with God, they also rejoice with us as dreams come true. We know it happens. We've seen it happen for years. It's not just a dream. It's real life.
